As We Start the Final Hill

I write my name
in the frost on my car -

Cold seeps into boots and gloves
Mozart wafts from a window

Clouds of warm breath
hover above the hoods,
soon disappear

10K - the taiko drummer
as we start the final hill

Solo bass begins,
slowly joined by violins -
Beethoven flash mob

Hush after the movement ends -
cellphones ring, wrappers rustle
